Succulents

Only water enough to wet top soil about once or twice a month. Avoid overwatering by making sure the soil is completely dry between waterings.

Signs of overwatering: Shriveled leaves, leaves / stem turning brown

Make sure succulents are in a space that receives good natural light (lots of diffused light or short periods of direct sunlight)

Cacti

Only water enough to wet top soil once a month. Watch for excess water that is not absorbed into the soil.

Overwatering can cause roots to rot and may cause the cactus to become mushy and change color.

Cacti do best in diffused lighting, and spaces with small amounts of direct sunlight.

Air plants

Air plants should be watered every two weeks. To water, remove the air plant from the arrangement and soak it in room-temperature water for up to an hour.

Driftwood Arrangements

Watering driftwood arrangements is slightly more tricky as these are fragile pieces. Gently water enough to wet the soil throughout the piece and make sure not to miss any hidden plants.

Driftwood arrangements only need water once a month, and do best in diffused lighting
